Welcome to Urban Success University's redesigned Leadership Academy
The redesigned Leadership Academy at Urban Success University, is where we are dedicated to guiding today's youth on their journey to becoming the accomplished achievers and leaders of tomorrow. Our academy has undergone significant evolution over the past 13 school years, while remaining rooted in the timeless wisdom of John Maxwell's leadership principles.
In 2010, our original founding chairman, Rev. Dr. Congressman William Gray III, provided our then Dean and current chairman, KJ, with a remarkable opportunity. KJ was personally accredited by John Maxwell himself through his prestigious Leadership Gold program, which included receiving the renowned John Maxwell Bible known for its teachings.
Building on this foundation, KJ distilled the top 25 Lessons he learned from John Maxwell and integrated them into our curriculum.
Additionally, we draw from Maxwell's acclaimed books, "The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership: Follow Them and People Will Follow You" and "The 21 Indispensable Qualities of a Leader: Becoming the Person Others Will Want to Follow."
